- Crushing Sin started in Alamogordo New Mexico in 2008. We are a Christian rock, classic rock, techno, praise and worship group. Crushing Sin is an active ministry seeking the Lord diligently. The band name Crushing Sin came to us as a testimony in each of our lives, that I am sure every Christian can relate to; all of us has some kind of sin in our lives that we struggle with that we need to crush daily. As Paul says in Romans 6 we are dead to sin, and alive in Christ. The name Crushing Sin is a statement made daily that we will continue to seek the life Christ has called us all to.
- Please share your testimony - How did you become a Christian?
- Crushing Sin started in Alamogordo New Mexico in 2008. We are a Christian rock, classic rock, techno, praise and worship group. Crushing Sin is an active ministry seeking the Lord diligently. The band name Crushing Sin came to us as a testimony in each of our lives, that I am sure every Christian can relate to; all of us has some kind of sin in our lives that we struggle with that we need to crush daily. As Paul says in Romans 6 we are dead to sin, and alive in Christ. The name Crushing Sin is a statement made daily that we will continue to seek the life Christ has called us all to.
Seth Barber has been playing the keyboards and composing music for eight years now, and has an unerring dedication to our Lord Jesus Christ. Seth was born in Colorado, where he joined the Air Force in 2005 and was stationed at Holloman Air Force base in Alamogordo NM, where he met up with the other band members. Seth attended Desert Hills Church of God in Alamogordo NM for 3 years, and now attends Arvada Church of God in Colorado. Seth has done his time in the Air Force, and has returned to his home in Arvada Colorado where with the rest of the band has relocated.
Jason Toler has been playing the guitar and writing music for eight years as well. Jason has an amazing love for the Lord, and others. Jason was born in Virginia, and has lived all over the country. Jason moved to Alamogordo NM in 1987 with his mother; he has four children, three that live with him full time. Jason was the children's church and nursery director for Desert Hills Church of God in Alamogordo. Jason now lives in Colorado with the other members of the band. Jason attends Nazarene Bible college seeking a degree in Pastoral ministries to further the mission of Crushing Sin.
Michael Lumabi has been singing for over nine years, and has spent six of those years singing at his church. Michael was born in Colorado, where he became a part of the professional children's choir; the Colorado Children's Chorale. He was fortunate enough to travel with the children's group to Europe, and even acquire a solo in Chechester Psalms performing with the Colorado Chorale, Cherry Creek Chorale, and the Boulder's Hebrew Choir. Michael also regularly attends Arvada Church of God in Arvada CO. Michael is very dedicated to our Lord. He has made an effort in his life to stand up for God and to do His great work. Michael prays and hopes for success in the Lord, through Crushing Sin. The same goes for the other members of the band, Seth and Jason. Michael is a senior in high school and is looking forward to his future in school with the band.
